Hi. This is my first post and last resort. I can’t get past a blue screen (BSOD)when Windows tries to start which states …The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant… I’ve researched this site and the web and can’t find an answer that works. I’d like to try to update the BIOS since it’s the original and I think it’s corrupted. Presence vst. There are 2 newer versions but they appear to require windows to run and I can’t boot into windows. My system is:

I can get into setup and I’ve cleared the CMOS etc. Glaze app. I’ve booted from a DOS USB stick successfully but when I run AFUDOS with a 5.43 ROM downloaded from here:

and extracted using 7zip, I get “-Error: BIOS is write protected”
Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!
